What: East Austin Urban Farm Tour

Where: Boggy Creek Farm, Rain Lily Farm, HausBar Farms & Springdale Farm
Other deets: Spend a Sunday afternoon strolling vibrant fields of local produce and visiting with chickens, donkeys, and goats on four neighboring urban farms. At each farm, chefs will provide tastes of their art using the freshest farm ingredients while local brewers, wine merchants, and mixologists will offer sips.

In the fields, farmers will talk about their growing crops, share their experiences, and answer gardening questions. This beloved farm tour will change the way you look at food and the people you buy from as well as offer the perfect opportunity to solve your own growing challenges!

What: Pop-up Picnic
When: Saturday, April 12
Where: Palm Park
Other deets: Come one, come all to a community-wide picnic and benefit for Waller Creek! Buying one of the picnic baskets is your entry to the event. Guests may also bring their own baskets and all are welcome to purchase beer, wine and sangria on site. The Pop-up Picnic benefits the Waller Creek Conservancy, a public, private partnership that is slated to build a series of parks and walking trails and foster sustainable development along the 1.5 mile-long Waller Creek that winds through downtown. A major goal of the project is to develop corridors of connection for East and West Austin.
